在《战锤40K：战争黎明2》独立资料片《混沌崛起》中，游戏的背景依然设定在《战锤4K》的科幻世界中。《混沌崛起》将玩家传送到与远古敌人的战斗中。玩家可以控制新的军队：变节的混沌星际战队，继续血乌鸦小队的征程。《混沌崛起》包括了新的单人和多人战役，等级上限也由20级升到了30级，还提供更加强大的装备和一系列极具创意的多人游戏选项。
